About DeAnna

I grew up in Utah County mostly in a town called Woodland Hills.  (just south of Spanish Fork)  I am the 5th of 7 brothers and sisters.  I grew up a happy kid, had good friends and was a bit of a smarty pants.  I was not terribly athletic as I was smaller than most of the kids, but I loved to dance and I was a budding artist. http://www.deannaleeshaw.blogspot.com/  I was also a runner, but lived far from the High School and never took the opportunity to run track.  I graduated with High Honers and was the runner up for the Visual Arts Sterling Scholar award.  Nick beat me out, but he is pretty amazing so I don't feel too bad.  http://www.nickjarvisart.com/.  I went to Utah State University and pursued a degree in Exercise Science because I didn't want to work with the blood and guts of nursing.  I loved this degree and really enjoyed the classes taught.  I minored in Human Development.  I loved being in college and enjoyed dating and school, but by the time I met Andrew...I was ready to move on.  I graduated at the same time as Andrew in 2007 and after one last pest control summer in Baltimore MD, we moved back to our house in the country and got settled.  I started working at a Title Company and have worked there since.  About a year and a half ago I realized that having kids was taking its time and with that being the case. I wanted to pursue Elementary Education.  Consequently I now worked at an Elementary School also as the Art teacher and now am a flow blown 3rd grade teacher (intern). I am finishing up my second BA in Elementary Education. I will graduate again in a few weeks!  UPDATE:  I graduated and now am in my 2nd year of teaching cutie 3rd graders.

I am also a fairly laid back person, I am determined and motivated and want to try everything.  (Unless it involves jumping from planes).  I love to garden in the summer and sew and cook in the winter.  I also really love decorating.... and well, anything creative or artistic.  I also like to travel, but usually lack the funds to go too much.  (I spend my money on plants and upgrading/remodeling the house).  I like to run and be active.

Oh yeah...and I really love Mr. Incredible (Andrew's nickname from the nieces and nephews).
